Qatar is the Most Expensive Arab Country in the "Cost of Living Index"

Kuwait ranked fourth in the Gulf and 51st globally out of 132 countries, in the global cost of living index published by «CEOWORLD».

According to the report, which was based on a number of components, and included assessing the cost of housing, clothing, and taxis, in addition to the internet, services, and prices for groceries, transportation, and food, Kuwait achieved 50.37 out of 100 points in the index in terms of the cost of living, as it recorded 31.21 points on the sub-index which measures the level of rents, 34.6 points on the food index, and about 47 points in the restaurant price index, while it scored 85.5 points on the local purchasing power index.

Qatar ranked first in the Gulf and the Arab World as the most expensive country to live in after ranked 31 globally, followed by the UAE in 32nd place.

Switzerland topped the list of the most expensive countries to live in the world, followed by Norway, Iceland, Japan and Denmark, while Pakistan ranked first as the cheapest cost of living country, followed by Afghanistan, India, and Syria.
